Soliloquy

When times change as they 'usually' will
When the road you're trudging seems an uphill
When the 'moods' are low and 'sorrows' high
When you want to smile but have to sigh
Then rest you must, but you mustn't quit.

The epitome of plagiarism. But the message is original (I hope and I don't copyright it). The obvious question with a not so obvious answer arises, "How to rest ?" For all those who endorse sleep, medication, meditation and the other common suggestions by some connoisseur of health, here lies an alternative pill. Soliloquy, for many to whom I sound like a sesquipedalian, it means self talk. The prescription to subliminal conditioning (not to project you as someone abnormal).

You all must have done it some day in your life, although subconsciously. And you know how? Rote learning in our 'Examination System'. (I didn't term it Education system consciously) And it might have saved you from drowning (failing). It can certainly help you sail through life as well. PS: I don't promote rote learning here.
One is always available for introspection (no appointments required I hope). The results are many. It can pacify the disconsolate, the morose and the lugubrious.
Talk your sentiments out, repeat your ambitions aloud and witness the change. After all, actions sometimes do speak better than words.

Not so free

No one knows you better than yourself. No one can love you more than yourself. People term it self centeredness, I call it 'Vanity'. For all those who've seen "Jab We Met", the circadian broadcast on 'not-so-few' channels, the characters say it all. "Be your favorite", these three words have the caliber to turn a life around.
Here's a personal account for the same. Some fine day someone told me, we're human beings and not programmed devices. For surviving in this seemingly social society, we hand the control of our life to the people around us or let me say we render ourselves open source (for all those tech savvy people). We end up being puppets of some puppet masters who use us when they please.
Lets rewind our life's tape and be a child again for a moment. Remember when you were a toddler. The gleam in your eyes, the mischief, the innocence, the 'now risible' dreams to become an astronaut, a teacher, a mother or may be a ballet dancer. We surely did live our life our own way. No one could influence us,our moods, our ambitions and our wishes. The irony stands here. Though we were dependent, still we stood independent. As we grew, the race to please others started. Parents, friends, teachers, neighbors, relatives, bosses, colleagues etc. etc. etc., we didn't even spare stray dogs . To rise in the eyes of others, we fell in our own. The perfect example of  a voluntary transformation to challenge god's own creation (as if what god created wasn't perfect, we strive beyond perfection after all). So prone and gullible, we stand today ready to be controlled. We talk about the virtue of freedom but  are we free ourselves? I leave this question for you to ponder.

A not so warm welcome

For everyone who accidentally encountered this web address or incidentally intended to read it, I'm warning you well in advance. The person writing this is no Harvard graduate, no philosopher or not even a daily wage earner. He/She is just someone who hasn't stepped into the plethora of activities this world has to offer. The language is naive and the ideas dilettante. I've some personal experiences to share which certainly mean a lot to me and so I thought that blogging is a means to make them public.
When people don't lend you their ears, machines certainly  do. Life's changed now and so have certain quotes."Machines are our best friends", I hope many of you would agree to it.
Anyway, let me get back to the point. I welcome you all here.

PS: "Rise in your own eyes to realize your dreams" That's why the blog is named so (I hope that ends your inquisitiveness).
